Modigliani Exhibit

The Museo dell'Annonciade at Saint-Tropez will hold, from July 3rd to October 18, 2010, an exhibit dedicated to the Italian sculptor and painter, Amedeo Modigliani.
Famous for his portraits of women with stylized faces and elongated necks, Modigliani today represents one of the most esteemed artists amongst collectors and well-known museums around the world.
The pieces on exhibit will allow visitors to discover the fundamental steps of his career, characterized by exceptional paintings and by a continuous search for exclusivity. Visitors may also admire a set of drawings that highlight the artist's clear and brilliant graphic trait. In his brief and turbulent life, which ended when he was only 36 years old, he experimented a unique style, a style that went beyond conventions and daily circumstances. The Museo dell'Annonciade and its current curator, Jean-Paul Monery, would like to celebrate the grandeur of this artist and offer visitors the chance of understanding and appreciating it.
